Sasha Masakowski â€'" vocalist, composer, and producer; daughter of Blue Note guitarist Steve Masakowski; has performed at Blue Note NYC, SFJAZZ, Kennedy Center, and Jazz at Lincoln Center Shanghai.
Jazz vocalist, composer, and producer Sasha Masakowski has gained international recognition for her fearless approach to jazz, blending electronic elements into both her performances and songwriting. She has led projects such as Art Market and Tra$h Magnolia on stages around the world, from Blue Note NYC and SFJAZZ to the Kennedy Center, Jazz at Lincoln Center Shanghai, Cotton Club Tokyo, Copenhagen Jazz Fest, and the Detroit Jazz Festival. Sasha has collaborated with modern icons including Nicholas Payton, Gerald Clayton, David Binney, Damon Locks, and Jason Lindner.
The Sound Wall Jazz Series – American Art Music takes place twice a year, in the fall and spring, and celebrates the artistry and diversity of jazz through immersive weekend residencies with nationally touring artists. In addition to public performances in our intimate listening room, each residency includes masterclasses at The Sound Wall and in-school visits with students in the Opelika and Auburn city school systems, fostering meaningful engagement and arts education in our community.

Sasha Masakowski
Vocals / Producer
Steve's daughter and award-winning vocalist, composer, and electronic musician. Her style bridges jazz, pop, and electronics. She produced Two Worlds and has collaborated with Nicholas Payton and David Binney.

Steve Masakowski
Guitar
Blue Note recording artist and former Coca-Cola Endowed Chair of Jazz Studies at UNO. Mentored by Ellis Marsalis Jr. and Danny Barker, celebrated modern jazz guitarist and composer in New Orleans.

Martin Masakowski
Bass
Double bassist and luthier who designs and builds his own instruments. Versatile across traditional and avant-garde jazz, with deep influences from Eastern European and Middle Eastern music.

Oscar Rossignoli
Piano
Honduran-born and New Orleans-based pianist and UNO alumnus who studied under Steve. His harmonic intelligence anchors the album's most lyrical moments.

Rex Gregory
Sax
Acclaimed jazz saxophonist and UNO alumnus.
